MCC will dispute, on your behalf, directly with all major repositories − Trans Union, Experian, and Equifax to correct inaccurate account information such as creditor balances, paid collections, paid judgments, and discharged bankruptcy information – to name a few.  Per Maine State Law, funds that we collect for the dispute process are escrowed in a non-interest bearing account until your disputes have been resolved.  At the end of this process, you will receive new credit reports indicating your results. The dispute process takes approximately 30 days to complete.

You may also elect to use our "Do-It-Yourself" Dispute Kit.  This kit comes complete with all the forms you will need to dispute directly with the Bureaus with simple step-by-step instructions.  Kit includes:  Instructions, Bureau Addresses, Blank Forms, Scoring Information, Local/State/Federal Resources, "Just Say No" Opt Out Letter for stopping unsolicited mail. When using our dispute forms, BE SURE TO KEEP A COPY OF ALL DISPUTES SENT TO THE BUREAUS FOR YOUR FILES. .

Dispute Follow-Up 

If you have filed disputes using our "Bureau Dispute Kit", we offer a follow-up service designed for those who find it challenging to determine whether or not the Bureaus have addressed your disputes.  After disputes are filed by the consumer via the kit, the Bureaus will send out copies of the "consumer reports" describing the resolution of the dispute.  Disputes that are filed either by the consumer or us are not always addressed the first time around and occasionally will need re-disputing.  If you cannot determine the outcome of a dispute, you can elect to send us copies of your disputes along with the reports you have received and we will determine if the disputed information has been corrected or if you need to file another dispute.
